About Chrysalis
The building up and establishment of our youth, in Christ, is one of the primary goals of the Walk to Emmaus organization. This is accomplished through the Chrysalis movement -- an "Emmaus-like" experience pitched to the issues and needs of High School youth (Sophomore thru Senior).
One of our great memory scriptures comes from Romans 12:2, "Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect" (ESV). What you may not know is that the Greek word for "transformation" relates to a metamorphosis; a complete change from the inside out. And that is precisely the Chrysalis experience. In the same manner that the caterpillar transforms into the beautiful butterfly, so too can God's children experience a great spiritual transformation.
